I served in the United States Army from 2010-2014 with one combat deployment where I was awarded several honors but none more important than the Combat Medic Badge. This award wasn’t something I hoped for because It meant I successfully saved the life of another soldier in the line of fire. That being said, it was an honor to receive the award and know that my fellow soldiers are still alive to this day. I now proudly serve local residents of Hawaii and military service members in the same manner, as if our life depends on it.
